42nd Street returns to the West End

Award-winning Broadway musical 42nd Street will return to the West End for a limited run at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane from 20 March 2017.

42nd Street is a dazzling and romantic homage to the world of musical theatre, and winner of the 1981 Tony Award for Best Musical and the 2001 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical.

42nd Street returns to the West End after 32 years with an all-singing, high-kicking cast of over 50

Based on a novel by Bradford Ropes, 42nd Street follows Peggy Sawyer, a young woman fresh off the bus from small-town America, and just another face in the chorus line on Broadway’s newest show. But when the leading lady gets injured, Peggy might just have the shot at stardom she's always dreamed of.

This new production of 42nd Street arrives in London with an all-singing, high-kicking cast of over 50 ready to explode on to the West End’s biggest stage.

Previously in London 32 years ago, 42nd Street features the iconic songs: ‘Lullaby of Broadway’, ‘We're in the Money’, ‘Shuffle Off to Buffalo’, ‘Dames’, ‘Keep Young and Beautiful’, ‘I Only Have Eyes For You’ and the title number; ‘42nd Street’.
