After a team of eight colleagues from 21st Century Technology particpated in the ‘Run Gatwick’ half marathon earlier this month, the team has raised have raised over £1,600 for Kent, Surrey and Sussex (KSS) Air Ambulance.
KSS Air Ambulance – which is funded purely by charitable donations – has a special significance for Chairman Mark Elliott and his wife Claire after their son George needed treatment, but was unable to be saved, KSS’ swift actions meant that he could be an organ donor.
So far Mark and Claire have raised £65k in George’s name.
21st Century’s CEO Russ Singleton comments: “I am so proud of this team. Everyone trained so hard. The Air Ambulance provides a vital service yet relies entirely on donations in order to continue its life-saving work. We are delighted to have been able to make a difference.”
