At routeone, we know that coach and bus operators have a great many burdens placed on their time.
If you run coaches, the busy season is here. It’s all hands to the pump to cover work. But covered it will be; the industry is always up for a challenge. For bus operators, the issues are different, but if it was easy, everyone would be doing it.
With those thoughts in mind, step back for a second. Look at your business and at your people. Given the endless changes to regulations and the often-strangling bureaucracy, you and your staff do a good job every day just by getting your vehicles through the gate.
What if there was a way to acknowledge the best in the industry? Well, there is. It’s called the routeone Awards. In a nutshell, they set out to recognise, reward and revere the finest businesses and people involved in the operation of coaches and buses.
Judging very soon moves to the second stage. Nominations have closed, but those selected as potential finalists now move into the competitive environment that will see the best of the best recognised at a gala presentation evening on 31 October at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
But you can only be part of this if you return your entry form that was dispatched after the end of the nomination process. And time is running short. The deadline is 1730hrs this Friday (18 May).
It’s an age-old cliché. But you have to be in it to win it.
