Weston-super-Mare-based Bakers Dolphin has honoured 14 of its staff for achieving 290 years’ service between them.
The operator handed out awards for 10, 15, 20, 25, 35 and 40 years of service, and staff enjoyed a meal at Duets Restaurant in Weston to celebrate.
Among those awarded was Richard Peach, a driver at Bakers Dolphin for 40 years. Richard has clocked up over one million miles driving since joining Bakers Dolphin “for a season”.
Also awarded was driver David Pople for 35 years’ service; and Chief Engineer Mark Vearncombe, Sales Executive Fiona Callaghan, Reservations Manager Lynda Frisby, and Operations Director Max Fletcher for 25 years’ service.
Andy Guise and Julie Whiterod have each done 20 years, while Antonia Tipping, Robin Knibbs and Lucy Cowgill have done 15 years.
Mandy Havill, Kathy Knibbs and Dave Cornelius have done 10 years each.
Amanda Harrington, Sales and Marketing Director at Bakers Dolphin, says: “To celebrate a combined total of 290 years of committed service is wonderful and we’re immensely grateful to our remarkable staff who go above and beyond to ensure our customers enjoy memorable holidays and trips every time.
“Our Long Service Awards recognise and acknowledge in a small way the huge impact our staff make to the success of the business and we’re pleased that so many people decide to stay with us for many, many years, sometimes for their whole career.
“We’re like a family at Bakers Dolphin and we’re very proud of everyone’s individual and combined achievements.”
