Stagecoach East Scotland has introduced automatic defibrillators to its eight depots.
The machines have been installed in depots across Fife, Perth and Tayside, as well as the head office in Dunfermline. Designed to be safely used by anyone, they give the user clear audio and visual instructions and do not require any training to use.
Paul Thomas, Managing Director at Stagecoach East Scotland, says: “We are delighted to introduce defibrillators to all our depots and hope they give our staff a bit more peace of mind when going about their day-to-day duties.”
Defibrillators work by delivering a high-energy shock through the chest wall and are indispensable when someone goes into cardiac arrest.
