Licence Check’s cloud-based Driver and Vehicle Information System (DAVIS) has gained a new component that helps operators to manage driver risk.
The driver risk score incorporates many datasets into two ratings: One for the individual, and also an average fleet score for simple and effective management.
It scores each driver out of 10 and classifies them as a high, medium or low risk, presenting fleet managers with a clear picture of risk and how to mitigate it.
Licence Check says that checking entitlements, licence validity and convictions does not always give a full picture. Just because an employee has a clean licence does not mean that they pose little risk.
That’s why DAVIS amalgamates results from many different areas to build a personal risk profile.
The score takes into account penalty points; type of endorsement; driver behaviour as recorded via telematics; attitude and aptitude; incident and accident management; and tachograph infringements.
Each driver risk score contributes to the average fleet rating. Besides licence checking and driver risk assessment, Davis also checks licence authenticity and it includes an element of fleet management.
