Children in Surrey have never had it so good, travelling in virtual luxury to Hampton Court Palace, Chessington Zoo and a multitude of other places of interest in the south-east, says MD David West and his team at Westway Coach Services.
Based at West Mosley, outer London, the firm replaced two vehicles earlier this year and made a resolute move to go for “nothing but the best.”
Mr West says: “We live in an age when people are used to luxury cars and expect nothing but the best. That applies to children as much as corporate clients – but, in the former’s case, they tend to travel in bigger numbers.
“Matching capacity and comfort was therefore critical and we worked closely to resolve the issue with ADL.” The result is two 11.5m, 82-seat Enviro400 MMC models that are “top of the range.”
They have wood-effect flooring, leather seats, seat belts, USB chargers, tinted windows, air chillers, driver’s air-con, LED lights under the seats, CCTV, deep brown metallic paint and alloy wheels.
“They have been a huge success with school groups and corporate clients and I believe we have struck the perfect balance, providing coach-like comfort while retaining the capacity required by many clients,” he added.
“An added bonus is that our new Enviro400s are fully compliant in terms of requirements for the new London Ultra Low Emission Zone.”
