British Tourism & Travel Show 2018 (BTTS), the leading event for the group travel industry, has reported a 10% increase in attendees.
The show welcomed 2,866 visitors to the NEC, Birmingham, including leading coach operators and tour companies.
The show took place on 21-22 March and has been widely acclaimed as one of the best yet, with 270 exhibitors, new show features, and a top-quality line-up of industry speakers for its Keynote seminar programme, headlined by Angela Rippon.
David Maguire, Event Director, says: “The buzz on site was electric this year. Visitor numbers reached a record high, and we can’t wait to get to work on the next edition taking place on 20-21 March 2019.”
The new Destination Europe area proved to be a successful addition to BTTS 2018, with many praising the range of exhibitors providing inspiration and new ideas for international tours.
Highlights also included the new Food & Drink Trail, which allowed visitors to sample treats influenced by history and heritage from across the British Isles.
Award-winning broadcaster Angela Rippon shared travel stories from her 50-year career with the BBC.
