National Express has become a two-time recipient of a top UK safety award, the Sword of Honour, this year.
The British Safety Council (BSC) presented the awards for the Birmingham-based company’s national white coach operation and for National Express West Midlands buses.
This is the fourth consecutive year that the coach express division has won a Sword of Honour, which the BSC explains “recognises commitment to excellent health and safety management standards”. It is the third year running that the buses have won the award.
Only 61 companies in the world received a Sword of Honour from the BSC this year.
“At National Express, we believe that safety is everyone’s business, so I’m very proud that the hard work done by every single one of our employees has been publicly recognised like this,” says Tom Stables, Managing Director of National Express UK.
