Hella has unveiled the next generation of its passenger counting sensor.
It is a unit based on a stereoscopic optical system, and it gives lots of benefits and possibilities for expansion in the future, says the manufacturer.
Among them are object recognition, video recording, the ability to count in darkness, and others.
Starting the unit takes around 40 seconds and it continually acquires video images within its visual range. Those images are recognised by its integrated software and people’s movements are tracked, giving excellent accuracy.
