RTPI at bus stops can deliver many user benefits

Provision of real-time passenger information at bus stops is beneficial

A survey carried out by Papercast, which supplies e-paper bus stop displays, has explored the benefits of providing real-time passenger information (RTPI) at stops.

When asked to specify the benefits of providing RTPI at bus stops, respondents agreed that it improves the passenger experience; aligns with ‘smart city’ strategies; facilitates ongoing service improvements; increases ridership and revenue; and reduced complaints.
