Connaught PSV has put a Ferqui Sunrise-bodied Iveco Daily midicoach demonstrator on the road thanks to strong buyer interest in the model, which has secured over 25 orders from UK buyers in 12 months.
MD Steve Peach says that the Sunrise can be specified with either 29 or 33 seats, making it suitable for everything from school work to touring. Both models include air-conditioning with climate control, full-length luggage racks with passenger service units, a convector heating.
“The 7,200kg GVW Daily fits the bill perfectly as a base for our new rage of midicoaches,” adds Mr Peach.
“This area of the market has been turned on its head since a competitor chassis ceased production. The Daily is seeing a lot of interest, particularly thanks to its class-exclusive eight-speed Hi-Matic gearbox.”
A luxury 25-seat variant is also available, as are accessible versions with a wheelchair lift at either the rear or the side.
The demonstrator will be available throughout 2018. The Daily uses Iveco’s F1C engine rated at 170bhp and the Sunrise is built on a chassis with a 4.75m wheelbase. Rear air suspension, disc brakes and a 100-litre fuel tanks are all part of its standard specification.
