Assistant Operations Manager - Cwmbran
A vacancy exists for the position of Assistant Operations Manager for our Cwmbran Depot, which operates a fleet of 98 buses, including the Cardiff & Bristol Megabus service to London, with an establishment of 180 drivers. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will effectively manage the provision and delivery of high quality, customer focussed and profitable bus services, ensuring that the company's business objectives, standards of customer service and operational quality are achieved. You will ensure your team delivers a reliable service of the highest standard. The role demands expert management of the depot's resources and first class people management skills. Ideally you should have previous experience of supervising staff and be an effective organiser. This is a superb opportunity for someone with ambition to develop their skills and experience, motivate staff and further improve the quality of services to our customers, within an organisation that has significant potential for growth and development.

Engineering Manager
Aberdeen

You'll take full responsibility for a team of engineers, providing high quality
24 hour engineering support, maximising productivity and minimising lost
mileage. High standards and adherence to health & safety practices are
essential in this role.
You: You will be an exceptional people manager with a suitable engineering qualification and workshop experience in a transport environment. You'll be fully conversant with the VOSA testing of PCV and relevant health & safety regulations, self motivated and pro active, with an eye for detail.

COACHING EXECUTIVE
CPT (Confederation of Passenger Transport UK), the national trade association for bus, coach and light rail operators, is seeking to recruit a Coaching Executive based in London.
Responsibilities include -
- Provision of advice and assistance to CPT's coaching members
- Assisting/representing members in any parking appeals procedure against unreasonable or incorrect enforcement
- Administering internal systems relating to coaching matters including the CPT website, support of relevant committees and organisation of 'Coach Friendly' awards
- Liaison with relevant authorities to ensure the coaching industry is properly represented in any decision making process impacting upon it
- Building on existing relationships with bodies representing all aspects of tourism that impact on coaching
- Becoming fully involved in responding to members' requests for information/assistance during office hours and as part of the 'on-call' out-of-hours team
Qualities/experience required -
- Full understanding and appreciation of the coach industry
- Ability to relate to the concerns facing CPT's coaching members
- Experience in the day to day running of a coach company and knowledge of current regulations are desirable
The successful candidate will represent CPT in discussions with third parties and must therefore have the ability for lucid and considered debate.
Salary in region of £30,000 per annum.
