Operations Manager

We have a new vacancy for the position of Operations Manager at Cardiff Bus.  We operate a fleet of 210 buses, with an establishment of 560 drivers and 720 employees in total providing scheduled local bus services throughout Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Reporting to the Operations and Commercial Director, you will effectively manage the provision and delivery of high quality, customer focused and profitable bus services, ensuring that the company’s business objectives, standards of customer service and operational quality are achieved. You will be involved in managing a team of supervisors, performance and training staff to ensure delivery of a reliable service to the highest standard.

The role demands expert management of the company’s resources and first class people management skills. Ideally you should have previous experience of either managing or supervising staff, be an effective organiser and a flexible leader who can enthuse and inspire staff to deliver a first class service to our customers.
