Show season returns to the NEC later this
year, with the two-day Coach & Bus UK to
be held between 2-3 October. Organisers yet
again report that space is selling well and it
is expected that the minicoach and minibus
industry will be well represented.
Here, we round up some of the principal
launches, debuts and displays that were at
Euro Bus Expo and we look at some images
taken across the three days of the show.

Euro Bus Expo 2018
Euro Bus Expo once again delivered for minicoach and
minibus operators over three days at the NEC Birmingham
The undoubted highlight of 2018 for
minicoach and minibus operators was
Euro Bus Expo, which was held at the NEC
Birmingham between 30 October and 1
November.
And those that were among the 8,950
attendees at the three-day show will not
have been disappointed. Euro Bus Expo once
again delivered, with vehicles, services and
products galore that can help to make your
business or operation more efficient and
passenger-friendly.
In 2018, the miniplus Area returned
after a popular debut at Coach & Bus UK
in 2017. As before, it included numerous
vehicles and products, also giving attendees
the opportunity to meet with suppliers
and colleagues and to do business in a
comfortable and relaxed environment.
Additionally, the Master Class Theatre
hosted a number of seminars at which
industry experts offered their opinion and
guidance on several important topics.
Not least among them was Brexit, with
Confederation of Passenger Transport
Director of Policy Development Steven
Salmon – perhaps the industry’s foremost
studier of what the UK’s potential departure
from the EU could mean for PSV operators –
attempting to make sense of the subject.
Meanwhile, at the prestigious routeone
Awards – hosted by the sister title of miniplus
– the winner of the Excellence in Minibus
Operation category was Whites St Albans.
As examined recently miniplus/operator/
November 2018, the Hertfordshire company
has grown its business and invested heavily
in vehicles, but the judges found that Whites
had done much else behind the scenes. That
warranted its position as victor in a highly-
