Stagecoach East Midlands celebrated the launch of its new direct service to Bridlington with a seaside-themed event at Hull Interchange on Saturday (6 April).
Route 99 will run three times a day from Hull Interchange to Bridlington via Holderness Road, Skirlaugh and Beeford. Extra buses will run during school holidays and summer weekends.
The launch event ran in Hull Interchange and saw visitors enjoy free 99 ice creams and sticks of rock. There was also the chance for people to try limbo dancing and sit in a giant deck chair.
Stagecoach staff were on hand to provide full timetable information and answer any questions about the new Route 99 service.
Matt Cranwell, Managing Director at Stagecoach East Midlands, says: “Our new summer Route 99 from Hull to Bridlington will provide quick and easy bus travel for young families and older people to enjoy a day by the seaside.
“Connecting city and coast, this new service is perfect for holiday-makers, day trippers and leisure passengers.”
