Woodall Nicholson Holdings, parent company of Mellor and Treka Bus, has purchased JM Engineering and Promech Solutions, both of which are based at Plaxton Park in Scarborough.
Says John Randerson, MD of Woodall Nicholson Bus Division: “This is a fantastic opportunity for both businesses to further cement what has been an excellent relationship and to bring a highly-skilled and resourceful team into the Woodall Nicholson group.
“We have some exciting challenges ahead, with growth potential in the specialist vehicle sector as we leverage our low-floor and electric vehicle platforms.
Meanwhile, Treka has announced more details of its new minibus that will be launched at the CV Show. To be called Everyday, it will be available at both M1 and M2 configurations at GVWs of 3,500-4,250kg on a range of base vehicle platforms.
Up to 14 seated passengers will be carried, or up to four wheelchair users that are boarded via either an inboard or an underfloor passenger lift.
