First Bus is celebrating another successful year of promoting workplace learning after staff based across its 14 depots takes part in the biggest festival of workplace learning.
Over the past three years, First Bus has supported Learning at Work Week – an annual event to build learning cultures at work.
Some of the highlights from this year’s campaign included mental health awareness training, cycling maintenance classes, promotion of the First Bus App, as well as learning sign language and new language skills.
Hansi Jackson, Head of Learning and Development at First Bus, says: “Our support of Learning at Work Week has now become an annual event, as we’ve seen the benefits of providing new opportunities to engage with staff about the importance of continual learning. It’s important to get colleagues involved in learning and development across the business, as this helps to break down any barriers and perceptions that may prevent learning.
“Many colleagues now have an increased understanding of the level of investment in their learning and the wide range of opportunities available. We’re proud of the efforts that colleagues have made to support this year’s campaign and the new skills and knowledge they will have gained as a result.”
