It’s time to once again get your thinking cap on and consider who are the best operators and the best people in the coach and bus industry, as we open nominations for the 2019 routeone Awards.
It doesn’t matter whether you run one coach or bus, or 1,000. Size is irrelevant. The routeone Awards are judged on the basis that the best operator or person in their category wins. Nothing else is considered.
And that’s why, particularly if you’re at the smaller end, you should consider throwing your hat into the ring.
The judges – five individuals with decades of industry experience – have identified a huge amount of talent in this part of the industry. It is well-stocked with people who, true to form for a smaller operator, do everything well – and some things outstandingly so.
Equally, there are operators out there – small, medium and large – that have developed into organisations that the rest of the industry aspires to emulate. They are the best. There are many of them, and they deserve recognition.
How to achieve nomination is explained on pages 6-9. If you are ultimately successful, the effort required to participate in the routeone Awards is dwarfed by the benefits that recognition can bring. Past winners have gone on to become even better than before.
What’s more, the routeone Awards take place at the same time as the dedicated UK trade show for the industry, Coach & Bus UK. This year, organisers report that 85% of exhibitor space is already sold, meaning that visitors are set for two productive days.
Couple an event that will showcase the best that the supply side of the industry offers with a presentation evening that recognises its finest people and operators, and it’s an unbeatable combination.
