Mortons Travel of Basingstoke is celebrating a year since its acquisition by Lucketts Group, as it enjoys several investments.
Since the buy-out, which saw all staff retained by the company, the 30-vehicle operator has gained a new coach, with another due imminently.
Significant improvements have been made to its IT infrastructure, with new high-speed broadband and the movement of all software, including new paperless solutions, onto a cloud-based system.
The business also has a new manager: Stewart Isaac was recruited in January as Commercial and Operation Manager to oversee operations.
Mr Isaac says: “It’s been a really good year. The new ownership as part of the Lucketts Group has opened up a lot of investment, which has allowed us to make improvements to our already brilliant service.”
Tony Lawman, Managing Director, says: “We’re pleased to celebrate a year of having Mortons as part of the Lucketts Group. It’s been a great fit and we’re delighted to have been able to invest heavily in the business over the last year.”
Established in 2004, Mortons Travel’s range of work includes school travel, corporate hire, day trips, weddings and holidays.
It was bought by Fareham-based Lucketts in April 2018. The Lucketts Group also incorporates Coliseum Coaches, Solent Coaches and Worthing Coaches.
