Nottingham City Transport (NCT) has presented a cheque for £1,000 to Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
The money has been raised by selling its 140th anniversary book in its Travel Centre and online through eBay.
NCT Marketing Manager, Anthony Carver-Smith, says: “Buses are an important way for older people to remain active members of society, helping prevent isolation and loneliness by providing links to shops, friends, family and health services.
“We are absolutely delighted to have supported the great work Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire do through this donation and thank all of our customers who purchased the anniversary book.”
