Stagecoach South West, the Presenting Partner for Elmer’s Big Parade Plymouth, is collaborating with author and illustrator Fiona Lumbers to create one of the Elmer trail sculptures.
The sculpture trail, which takes place across Plymouth and surrounding areas from 8 July-16 September, is inspired by the children’s character of Elmer the Elephant, created by Devon born artist and author David McKee.
The colourful parade of 40 unique elephants is tipped to attract 250,000 visitors, raising funds for St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth which provide care and support for people with a life-limiting illness and their families across Plymouth, South West Devon and South East Cornwall.
Bob Dennison, Stagecoach South West MD, says: “We are delighted to be Presenting Partner for Elmer’s Big Parade Plymouth. Fiona's design really appealed to us with the sustainability messages which struck a chord given the nature of our business.”
