QV Associates has updated its courses on the planning of bus timetables and the scheduling of buses and drivers to focus on the current financial and organisational issues facing the industry.
Planning and scheduling are sometimes treated as mere technical skills – but they’re actually an essential part of bus operations and every serious professional should have a good understanding of them.
The courses are residential, based at a conference centre in Birmingham, and run from Tuesday lunchtime to Friday lunchtime to allow time for travelling to and from the venue.
The next Introduction to Bus and Crew Scheduling course will be held on 30 April-3 May, concentrating on the principles of cost-effective driver and vehicle schedules.
The next Route and Timetable Planning course will be held on 25-28 June (provisional date). This covers the understanding of passenger demand in order to design efficient commercial networks.
