White’s of St Albans has taken a new flagship: A 10.8-metre 39-seat Irizar i6S Integral, supplied by Irizar UK (01909 500514).
The luxury specification includes an AD Coach Systems servery, synthetic Ultraleather seats with seatback tables and magazine nets, black-tint windows, underseat USB charging points, and Actia video and Bosch audio entertainment systems.
There is a rear-mounted toilet, a tow hook, and its own vacuum cleaning system. Four Corian tables can be fitted to make the vehicle into a 32-seat VIP.
The powertrain comprises the latest DAF MX-11 271 369hp Euro 6 C engine, driving through a ZF EcoLife fully-automatic gearbox.
The new coach is the company’s first i6S. Owner Greg White says: “We have a number of high-end travel agents in our client base and organise tours of areas like the Cotswolds for small groups of incoming tourists, mostly from America.
“We strive for the best vehicles available in any of the size brackets that we operate in, and for full-size coaches that means Irizar Integrals. We chose the i6S because it’s even better-looking than the i6 and has a fantastic kerb appeal.
“We offer a first-class travel experience to our clients in the very discerning and demanding London market, and that’s why we choose Irizar.”
The new coach replaces an earlier Irizar i6 Integral, and runs alongside another i6.
The new i6S Integral will remain on the fleet for three or four years and is maintained by GB Fleet Maintenance: an appointed Irizar Parts and Service Agent.
White’s was founded in 1960 by the father of current owner Greg White, and has evolved into a provider of high-end travel services for small to medium-size groups. It offers vehicles ranging in size from six to 39 seats.
