Over 80 vehicles will be on show at Coach & Bus UK, to be held next week (2-3 October) at the NEC Birmingham. They will be on exhibitors’ stands, within the new Indoor Display Area, in the miniplus Area and in the outside Zero Emission Zone.
Several will be making their UK debuts at the free-to-attend show. Arriva Bus and Coach (ABC) will show Temsa’s next-generation MD9 and HD12 midi and full-sized coaches, while BASE Coach Sales will display a 3.6m high version of the MOBIpeople Explorer, built on an MAN chassis.
The MD9 will be in the colours of Pulhams Coaches. ABC will show a second HD12 in the livery of New Bharat Coaches, while BASE’s high-floor Explorer will be for Poppleton’s of Pontefract.
Belkommunmash, from Belarus, will show its first right-hand drive battery-electric bus for the UK market. Ilesbus will display its all-new Calista midicoach on a Mercedes-Benz Atego chassis.
At the smaller end, Treka will exhibit its Everyday minibus built on the Renault Master base vehicle. London Hire will show a zero-emission LDV EV80 minibus. Visitors will be able to try one out for themselves in the Zero Emission Zone.
Other vehicles will make their show debuts. They include two high-specification Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minicoaches from Donegal Commercial Vehicles.
Among Harris Auto’s line-up will be a Crusader-bodied Iveco Daily and a high-specification nine-seat LDV V80 that is also part of the Crusader range. It will also show latest-generation AOS Isuzu and Higer midicoaches.
Models that are already in the market, but which have never appeared at a UK show, will include the 13.6m tri-axle 80-seat Irizar i4 integral, and the battery-electric BYD ADL Enviro400EV double-decker.
ADL will also be showcasing the capabilities of its autonomous Enviro200, which has been developed in partnership with Fusion Processing. It will be available for demonstration outside the halls.
The battery-electric Yutong TCe12 – the UK’s first zero-emission coach – will be on the Pelican Bus and Coach stand alongside other Yutong products.
“Once again Coach & Bus UK will lead the way with a display of the latest vehicles, including several that are zero-emission,” says Event Director Helen Conway. “Coupled with its exceptional line-up of product and service providers, it is an essential one-stop shop for the industry.”
