Arriva has launched a new service to give commuters easier access to Lutterworth-based Magna Park, in partnership with the site’s owner IDI Gazeley.
The new X45 service, which launched on Sunday (3 April), connects Magna Park with Lutterworth, Glen Parva, Narborough Road, Leicester city centre, Beaumont Leys and Thurmaston.
Operating seven days a week, with a PVR of one, with three journeys per day in each direction, the route has been designed to meet the needs of shift workers employed at Magna Park, Europe’s largest dedicated distribution park.
“We’re delighted to be working with Magna Park to open up access for the many people employed there,” says Steve Smith, Arriva’s Area Manager in Leicester. “Our new service offers a simple, hassle-free way to commute, while cutting down congestion on the roads in and around the site. It presents a great value-for-money option for commuters, while giving them back valuable ‘me time’ as they travel to and from work.
“People can benefit from our innovative mobile apps, allowing them to not only track where their bus is on route, but also buy tickets on their phones using our m-ticket.”
