Kirk Trewin, 34, has been appointed Chief Engineer by Go North East (GNE) following a successful stint as Fleet Engineer for the operator’s north division. He is responsible for more than 700 coaches and buses. .
He has worked in the bus industry for more than 16 years and in his previous role was responsible for the development of GNE’s flagship 8.5m Gateshead Riverside depot, which opened in February.
Kirk says: “I am delighted to be taking up this position and I look forward to the challenges that the company and the industry will face in the coming years as we move forward with new vehicles and new technologies.”
