Job Summary
Marshalls Coaches is seeking a skilled Workshop Manager to oversee their workshop operations. The Workshop Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities, ensuring the smooth running of the workshop, and leading a team of 5 technicians.
General Duties

- Scheduling the fleet vehicle maintenance (42 vehicles) – approximately 7 PMI’s and 1 MOT a week, plus any defects
- Checking daily defects from drivers and scheduling them to be rectified
- Ordering parts and comparing prices
- Booking MOT’s
- Ensuring all paperwork is in order for any audits the company may have
- Scheduling the small amount of outside work including tachographs and brake test
- Maintaining stock levels
- Maintain workshop efficiency and productivity
- Supervise and support workshop staff
- Liaising daily with operations team and meeting with management when necessary
Requirements
- Previous experience of workshop management
- Engineering/Technical background/experience preferably PCV/HGV
- Experience of managing a team
- Self-motivated with a high level of enthusiasm and good communication skills
- Good organization skills and attention to detail with ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Computer literate
- Admin skills
- Full and valid driving licence.
Hours of work
- 07:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday (with one hour lunch break)
- Possible Saturday morning when necessary
28 days holiday including bank holidays
