Giti Tyre quartet aim for Le Mans cycle race

Four employees of Giti Tyre will be tackling Le Mans’ Circuit Bugatti in August’s 24 Hour Cycle Race, and are aiming to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care in the process.

Brian McDermott, Ellis Hadley, Martin Gibson and Bertrand Saint-Supery will each handle six hours’ riding time on the track over 23-24 August, among 2,500 participants from around the world.

Says Ellis: “It started off as banter and now we’re doing it for real. As a team, we’ve had family members affected by cancer and we are raising money to give something back.”

“It’s a huge circuit with a lot of history and we can’t wait to tackle it,” adds Brian. “It’s going to be the hardest thing we have ever undertaken.”
