Jake Osman, Reading Buses’ Marketing and Communications Manager, is to compete in the Edinburgh marathon in a bid to raise money in support of the operator’s chosen charity for 2014, Launchpad.
.Launchpad helps homeless people in Reading get back into society. Says Jake: “After meeting the team there and hearing about their work, it has really inspired me to do something for them outside my day job.â€
Jake has competed in a number of half marathons, including Reading’s on three occasions, with this year’s being used as a training run for the main event in Edinburgh in May. Although he hasn’t set a target, he hopes to raise as much money as possible for Launchpad.
