The 15-year business relationship between 21st Century Technology (21C) and Arriva UK Bus is to continue for at least another two years, with an option of a one-year extension to 2020.
21C has supplied on-board CCTV and related IT to Arriva, along with maintenance and support, since 2002. Its safety-critical CCTV assist Arriva in protecting passengers, drivers and the public.
The latest contract extension to the existing Framework was awarded in advance of the renegotiation date due to the “high levels of performance and reliability” that 21C has provided to its fleet of almost 6,000 vehicles.
21track, an online customer service portal, allows customers to log any issues, with the office-based service team co-ordinating the specialist integrator’s nationwide network of engineering teams, who work overnight in Arriva depots across the UK.
Says Arriva Regional Engineering Director Ian Tarran: “I am very pleased that our longstanding relationship is to continue. We are looking forward to benefiting from advances in CCTV and other connected on-board systems that it is able to offer.”
