DCPC changes

The DVSA has changed the system of issuing driver qualification cards (DQCs) that show Driver CPC training has been undertaken.

It comes after the EU Commission admonished Italy for issuing DQCs with long dates, up to 10 years, which the UK was also doing.

Rather than also being told off, the DVSA has anticipated this and changed its system.

It will catch out a number of drivers who think they’ve completed their 35 hours periodic training, but haven’t checked their training record and might face being taken off the road as a consequence.
