Glasgow children’s art adorns First ‘deckers

A children’s artwork competition run by First Glasgow has seen four winning entries being fitted to advertising space on 20 of its buses. .

Pupils across the city were invited to submit entries based on the theme of bus travel, with organisers looking for stories of where children travelled to by bus, and with whom.

More than 900 individual entries were received, and 700 of them are on display on hoardings at the site of First’s new 450-bus depot in Larkfield, due to open in November. The four winning designs have been applied to the backs of 20 double-deckers.

MD Fiona Kerr says: “The interest in our competition was overwhelming and the results are brilliant.”
