Salisbury Reds Digital Marketing Executive Lucy Humphrey is helping to ensure the operator’s vehicles are clean and safe as demand for services steadily rises – and that passengers can make the most of its services.
As well as meeting and greeting passengers who need assistance, Lucy is checking vehicles across the city centre throughout the day to give onboard touch points extra cleaning with anti-viral measures.
The Go-Ahead owned operator has been employing stringent anti-viral cleaning regimes with a greater emphasis on high-touch areas since the pandemic began. “Our specialist team at the depot makes sure buses are sterile and ready for customers to travel with us every day,” she says.
Talking to customers about Salisbury Reds and its services as lockdown measures are eased has also been important, Lucy adds. She is helping with timetable queries and technical questions relating to the Salisbury Reds app and website – especially now that the operator has launched a new online feature telling passengers how busy their bus is. “I am expecting a lot of interest and feedback on that,” she continues.
“We’ve been proud to have provided transport, through challenging times, to help key workers carry out their vital roles here in Wiltshire.
“Now, we are all very excited to be increasing our bus services, and welcoming back our loyal customers.”
