Irizar team grows in key areas

Jon Clark has joined Worksop-based Irizar UK as Southern Area Field Service Engineer, bringing 25 years of experience from coach operation.

He latterly worked as Engineering Manager at Axe-Vale Coaches of Weston-super-Mare – his home town – where his skills helped achieve minimal vehicle downtime.

“In two years, we had only three out-of-hours breakdowns, only one of which was mechanical,” he says. “I have a front-line understanding of what it means to have vehicles off the road.”

Mr Clark joins Senior Field Service Engineer Darren Bradshaw and Aftersales Manager Dave Gregory, while Irizar UK is seeking a third member of the mobile service team to give UK-wide cover for the rapidly-growing fleet of Irizar Integral coaches.

Natalie Bacon will now assist Rob McDonald, Customer Support Manager. Her background is in dealing with motor insurance claims, so the customer-facing role of Aftersales Administrator is one with which she is very familiar.

“In my previous job I enjoyed getting clued up about cars, and now I’m getting up to speed with coaches,” she says. “It’s a sharp learning curve but I love a challenge.”

Backing the sales team and Business Development Manager Julie Hartley is Helena Young, who joins Irizar UK as Sales Support Co-ordinator with a background of customer-facing roles, latterly with a freight forwarding company: “Dealing with people is what I like best, and at Irizar UK, I’m also working with some great people.

“I’m looking forward to the challenges of a growing company and the varied role I will have here.”

“We feel lucky to have found such great people as Jon, Natalie and Helena,” says Mrs Hartley.
