Bus drivers and customer hosts at First Leeds will strike on Monday (13 June) over pay, affecting thousands of people.
First Leeds has been in discussions over pay with Unite the Union for several months. An above-inflation two-year offer averaging 4% has been rejected, says First.
It adds that the strike has support from less than half the employees involved.
First Leeds is meeting with Unite and ACAS today (8 June).
Paul Matthews, Managing Director for First Leeds, says: "I'm very disappointed Unite are going ahead with strike action despite our planned meeting on Wednesday involving ACAS. We have made a very reasonable, above-inflation offer and I call on Unite to call off this unnecessary strike and join us in meaningful talks with ACAS to avoid causing such hardship for our customers."
