More than 250,000 journeys have been made on the PickMeUp minibus DRT service, which is operated by Oxford Bus Company (OBC).
The service, which runs in the eastern arc of the city, has also seen 30,000 registered users sign up to its app and complete journeys since it was launched in June 2018.
OBC is currently engaging with users as part of a review of the service.
MD Phil Southall (pictured) says that Oxford PickMeUp “is still challenging” to run commercially. It is looking for additional support to assure its future, although Mr Southall does not rule out the end of PickMeUp should that support not be forthcoming.
OBC invested £1.2m in nine 17-seat minibuses to operate PickMeUp. They have wi-fi, USB charging and comfortable seating. The technology behind the service was developed by Via.
