To celebrate what would have been the 90th anniversary of Stevenson’s of Uttoxeter, Burton-upon-Trent operator Midland Classic is running additional journeys on service 401, which connects the two towns, on Sunday (11 September).
They will run up to every 10 minutes between Wetmore Road and Beam Hill via Burton town centre, with some journeys running through to Tutbury every 30 minutes.
Some buses running these additional journeys will carry Stevensons’ traditional yellow livery, with vehicles in use set to include two AEC Regent double-deckers, a Leyland National 2, a Daimler Fleetline and an Optare Spectra among others.
Normal fares will apply, with Midland Classic’s £4.90 Day+ ticket valid throughout service 401.
The normal hourly service between Burton and Uttoxeter will be operated as normal.
