Regent Street closed for Year of the Bus celebrations

In an unprecedented move, as part of Transport for London (TfL)’s ‘Year of the Bus’ celebrations, Regent Street was closed to traffic on 22 June to make way for a 50-bus static cavalcade, branded ‘Love your bus’. Free to view, it covered the earliest horse-drawn model of the 1820s up to the current New Routemaster, along with TfL’s newly-restored B-Type [pictured]. There was also a full-size bus stop made out 100,000 Lego bricks, which remains in place until 15 July.
