Quantock Heritage remains in business despite reports

In spite of reports of its demise both in the local media and on Somerset County Council’s website, Bishops Lydeard-based Quantock Heritage continues to trade, says owner Stephen Morris.

Mr Morris (pictured) explains that while Quantock Heritage has ceased running its local service and school contract work, it remains in business hiring out members of its eight-strong heritage fleet for weddings and other duties. It is understood that responsibility for its school and local services has transferred to other operators, including Berrys of Taunton and First.

Reports in both the North Devon Journal and the West Somerset Free Press last week erroneously stated that Quantock Heritage had ceased trading entirely, but Mr Morris tells routeone that that is not the case and the reports are incorrect.
