Doncaster-based First staff experience partial sight challenges

Members of staff, including bus drivers, at First’s Doncaster depot had the chance to experience the challenges customers with partial sight face, at an event held in the town last Monday (9 June).

They wore visual impairment goggles and took part in tasks such as trying to board a bus and paying for a ticket, giving them first-hand experience of the issues partially-sighted passengers face when travelling. .

Neil Bailey, Staff Manager for First in Doncaster, says: “This campaign is a great way to give our staff experience of the challenges faced by partially-sighted customers. We look forward to continuing to work with organisations such as the Partially Sighted Society to help improve the service we offer.”
