Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire has launched a survey to find out what people would like to see on their daily commute, in a bid to motivate people to ditch their cars and take the bus.
The survey, conducted by Censuswide, asks the people of Carlisle what fun activities they would like to see on board buses during their daily commutes. From breakfast clubs to taking mindfulness classes, through to learning a new language.
Following the results of the survey, Stagecoach will launch the winning idea for passengers to enjoy during their commute. The scheme has been designed to encourage passengers to make use of their time spent travelling to and from work, while helping to lessen the environmental impact commuting by car has on the local environment.
Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire Managing Director, Mark Whitelocks, says: “The time we spend commuting is valuable to us and we want to encourage our passengers to embrace that spare time by learning a new skill, or trying something new.”
