ZF Services UK’s Centre of Competence in Nottingham, which provides technical support, repairs and servicing, has invested extensively to prepare it for next-generation vehicles in the aftermarket.
The work has included high-voltage training in readiness for the ZF AxTrax AVE electric portal axles. The company has also equipped its facility and its technicians. That will give them what they require to support the Traxon gearbox. The automated manual unit has seen significant take-up in coaches.
The supplier’s expanding service partner network is also undergoing training as it meets the evolving demand for the repair and maintenance of modern vehicles.
Says David Wakeling, Head of Commercial Vehicle: “The ZF team of experts is ready to assist customers and service partners with advice and support for the very latest ZF technologies.
“ZF’s OE expertise is firmly translated into our aftermarket service office. That reduces vehicle downtime and prevents additional costs for customers.”
The ZF Services UK Centre of Competence is a dedicated facility. Thanks to recent expansion it now boasts a 6,500m2 workshop area. That further underline the company’s position as an industry specialist. It also reverse engineers and remanufactures non-ZF gearboxes.
