Ticketer’s new hand-held ticket machine revealed

Ticketer has revealed its latest development – a new version of its hand-held electronic ticket machine (ETM).

ITSO-certified, with an EMV level 1 card reader, like all ETMs from Ticketer it also has the option to provide historical tracking and on-bus schedule adherence functionality, alerting drivers if they attempt to depart a timing point early.

The machine can be used as a hand-held, for example for queue busting, but also fits into a cradle for on-bus use, making it ideal for smaller operators who want to have the flexibility of being able to move ticket machines rapidly between vehicles.

Says John Clarfelt, Managing Director of Berkshire-based Ticketer: “We are very excited to release this latest development. It has a number of really useful features. Notably the schedule adherence function, which is easy to use, will be very helpful for drivers.”

Among its most recent customers is West Coast Motors. Says MD Colin Craig: “We have had Ticketer machines at our Glasgow operation for some time and they have been a huge step forward for us. We are now rolling out Ticketer ETMs on vehicles at our Mull and Oban depots too. The great benefit to us is that they have significantly improved access to data in real-time.”
