Border Bus growing strongly

Beccles, Suffolk-based Border Bus has further expanded its fleet thanks to strong passenger numbers.

It had added a five-year-old, 37-seat Alexander Dennis Enviro200 that has been re-trimmed by Euro Group UK and, like the remainder of 17-strong fleet’s single-deckers, given a cherished number plate. It is the second member of the same batch of buses purchased by Border Bus from Mistral Bus.

“We introduced our commercial service 146 between Norwich and Southwold via Beccles and Kessingland in July 2014, and since then passenger numbers have increased strongly,” says MD Andrew Pursey, who established Border Bus in January 2014 and is the former MD of Go-Ahead-owned Anglian Bus.

“Our school business has also grown, and it is because of these rises in demand that we have added another bus to the fleet.”
