Operator’s new image is prominent on trio of i6-bodied coaches that are supplied with R&M deal
Harrow-based Hearn’s Coaches has taken delivery of three Scania K 360 IBs with Irizar i6 bodywork that come with the chassis manufacturer’s full suite of backup, monitoring and support systems.
The 12.45m, 53-seat coaches also carry a revised version of the Middlesex operator’s livery, which was redesigned earlier this year.
“It’s a very exciting time for the company, and our new image conveys our commitment to provide only the best to our customers – this being another reason why we selected the Scania Irizar i6,” says Business Development Manager Jamie Thacker.
For passengers’ convenience, the new coaches have the Bosch Professional Line entertainment system, centre sunken toilet with servery, fridge, and seats finished in half-leather with drop-down tables.
Hearn’s Coaches will benefit from a suite of services provided by Scania.
As with all new coaches sold to retail customers, driver and technical training is offered, while the manufacturer’s on-board telematics system is included on a complementary basis for ten years.
It records driver and vehicle performance, and sends that information to the customer directly by email. A repair and maintenance programme is also included in the package, managed by dealership Scania South Mimms.
Mr Thacker adds that the Scania chassis is complemented by the look of the Irizar body. “Scania’s reputation is second-to-none and it perfectly complements the fantastic aesthetics of the body. Our Account Manager Richard Lawrie has been very accommodating of our needs, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with Scania over the coming years.”
