More Turas 900v details are revealed by Noone

‘More stock-like’ midicoach built on lighter chassis than Turas 900, but has same capacity

Noone Turas 900v has a one-tonne lighter GVW but same capacity as 900

More details about the new Noone Turas 900v midicoach have been presented.

Built on a 9.5t GVW Mercedes-Benz Atego 918L chassis, the 33-seat Turas 900v complements the existing 1021L-based Turas 900 and is intended as a less customisable, more stock-like coach, says UK supplier Minis to Midis General Manager Paul Gardner.

“The Turas 900v retains the standard Mercedes-Benz dash and is offered with one seat fabric, to which buyers add leather side and headrest trim from a choice of colours,” says Mr Gardner, who adds that retail price of the Turas 900v is £135,000.

“Flooring, side wall and roof fabric and header lining is all in grey.

“There is limited scope to upgrade the Turas 900v, although a DVD player can be added. Customers who require a custom-built midi should go with the Turas 900, which has a large choice of seating and seat layouts, among other options.”

Mr Gardner adds that the body is the same size on both models, including the boot, and that despite the lighter chassis, removal of elements of the specification means that luggage carrying capacity there and in the side lockers is identical.

“The Turas 900v is ideal for those operators who are seeking a Mercedes-Benz Vario replacement. Thanks to the relocated driving position – which is exclusive to the Turas 900 and 900v – it is compact, and buyers tell us that it will return 19mpg easily.

“We have also done work on interior noise and reduced it via a new engine cover.”
