Merton Passenger Transport has taken delivery of two Mercedes-Benz Sprinters with coachbuilt bodies, supplied by Mellor Coachcraft (01706 860610).
They have 16 detachable Rescroft seats and space for up to five wheelchair users, loaded via an under-floor Ratcliff lift. An Eberspächer heating system is fitted.
“These two vehicles have been allocated to different welfare programmes,” says Passenger Operations Manager Ray McInnis.
“One will be used where the client has serious medical issues and is transport to the Children’s Trust in Tadworth. The second will transport elderly passengers to a day centre in Merton.”
