15 more bus stops on the Isle of Man have been fitted with Zeta Specialist Lighting’s Solar Shelter Lighting Kit.
Kits were fitted to shelters in Douglas bus station two years ago and they have proved to be effective and maintenance-free.
Vandal-resistant solar panels are attached to the roof of shelters, absorbing the sun’s energy through the day.
A unique energy management system then regulates the amount of power consumed by LEDs at night. They can illuminate the shelter from dusk until dawn.
