Stagecoach Yorkshire has donated resources to Bents Green Specialist Secondary School to help pupils who have been diagnosed with special educational needs develop their life skills, including communication and travel.
The pupils were supplied with a full driver’s uniform, cash box, tickets and a steering wheel to help facilitate the roleplays.
Using the items supplied, the young adults took it in turns to board the bus, scan their bus passes, say ‘thank you’ to the driver and take a seat.
Sue Hayes, Operations Director at Stagecoach Yorkshire, says: “We were delighted to offer our resources to the students.”
